Ch. 475                                     1993 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(II) REPAIR OR RESTORE PROPERTY DAMAGED BY, OR PAY
DAMAGES FOR, ANY DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF DUMPING THE LITTER IN VIOLATION
OF THIS SECTION; OR

(III)   PERFORM PUBLIC SERVICE RELATING TO THE REMOVAL OF
LITTER DUMPED IN VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION OR TO THE RESTORATION OF AN
AREA POLLUTED BY LITTER DUMPED IN VIOLATION OF SUBSECTION (D) OF THIS
SECTION; OR

(IV)    REIMBURSE THE STATE, COUNTY, OR MUNICIPAL CORPORATION
FOR ANY COSTS INCURRED BY THE STATE, COUNTY, OR MUNICIPAL CORPORATION IN
THE REMOVAL OF LITTER DUMPED IN VIOLATION OF SUBSECTION (D) OF THIS SECTION.

(h) (1) All law enforcement agencies, officers and officials of this State or any,
political subdivision ther
eof, or any enforcement agency, officer or any official of any
commission of this State or any political subdivision thereof, are hereby authorized,
empowered, and directed to enforce compliance with this section.

(2) THE ATTORNEY GENERAL SHALL TAKE CHARGE OF, PROSECUTE,
AND DEFEND ON BEHALF OF THE STATE EVERY CASE ARISING UNDER THIS
SECTION, INCLUDING THE RECOVERY OF PENALTIES.

(3) THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT LIMIT OR AFFECT THE
POWER OR AUTHORITY OF THE: STATE'S ATTORNEY FOR EACH COUNTY AND THE
CITY OF BALTIMORE UNDER ARTICLE 10, § 3
4 OF THE CODE.

(j) Fines collected for violations of this section shall be disbursed to the county or
city where the violation occurred to be used to defray the expense of establishment and
maintenance of receptacles and posting of signs as provided in subsection (i) of this
section AND FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSES RELATING TO THE REMOVAL OR CONTROL
OF LITTER.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October I, 1993.

AN ACT concerning

Creation of a State Debt - Baltimore City Life Museums

FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt not to exceed $750,000
$300,000
$500,000; the proceeds to be used as a grant to the Board of Trustees of
the Baltimore City Life Museums, Inc. for the planning, design, site preparation,
construction, and equipping of an exhibition center, an admissions kiosk, and
pathways, and for the landscaping of the surrounding property on Museum Row in
