SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows;

Article 49D - Office for Children, Youth, and Families

29.

Subject to the evaluation and reestablishment provisions of the Program Evaluation
Act, this article and all rules and regulations adopted under this article shall terminate
and be of no effect after July 1, [1994] 2004.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning

Judges' Retirement System - Cost of Living Adjustments for Former Masters in

Chancery or Juvenile Causes

FOR the purpose of clarifying the calculation of retirement allowances of former masters
in chancery or masters in juvenile causes who retire under the Judges' Retirement
System; providing that the retirement allowance be based on a certain salary that is
annually adjusted based on a certain cost of living adjustment for the county in
which the former master served; providing for retroactive application of this Act;
adjusted by the average of the percentage increases in salaries of certain judges in
certain years; and generally relating to retirement allowances for masters who retire
from the Judges' Retirement System.
