(i) Unless authorized by the Board, the consumer member of the Board may not
participate in any activity related to examinations under this subtitle.

11-305.

[(a) The Board shall include the following in the rules and regulations adopted
under this title:

(1)     Except for an environmental sanitarian who qualifies for registration
under § 11-304(b)(6) of this subtitle, provisions to allow an environmental sanitarian who
has not obtained the necessary experience required to qualify for licensure to fulfill the
experience requirements prior to becoming licensed; and

(2)     The conditions under which an individual employed as an environmental
sanitarian, but who fails the examination for licensure, may remain employed as and
continue to perform the duties of an environmental sanitarian while awaiting
reexamination.

(b) Nothing in this title shall prohibit an environmental sanitarian from
performing the duties of an environmental sanitarian while:

(1)     Obtaining the experience required to be licensed under Sections 11-303
and ll-304(b)(l), (2), (3), (4), and (5) of this subtitle;

(2)     Awaiting the date for the examination or reexamination to be given after
the environmental sanitarian qualifies and has applied for licensure in accordance with
the rules and regulations adopted by the Board; or

(3)     Awaiting examination results and licensure after the examination has
been taken] THE BOARD SHALL ADOPT REGULATIONS THAT INCLUDE:

(1)      THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SANITARIAN-IN-TRAINING PROGRAM
FOR APPLICANTS TO OBTAIN THE NECESSARY EXPERIENCE TO QUALIFY TO TAKE
THE EXAMINATION; AND

(2)      A CONDITION THAT A PERSON MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN A
SAN'ITARIAN-IN-TRAINING PROGRAM FOR MORE THAN 3 YEARS, UNLESS APPROVED
BY THE BOARD.

11-308.

Licensure authorizes [the registered environmental sanitarian to use the title
"registered environmental sanitarian" and the initials "R.S." after the name of the
registered environmental sanitarian] AN INDIVIDUAL TO PRACTICE AS AN
ENVIRONMENTAL SANITARIAN while the license is in effect.

11-312.

(a) The Board shall adopt a code of ethics designed to protect the public's
interest.
