(b) An associate solicitor may not solicit money from the public for a professional
solicitor unless the professional solicitor [is registered] HAS APPLIED TO REGISTER
with the Secretary of State and can show evidence of the [registration] APPLICATION.

A professional solicitor may not make an agreement with a charitable organization
to raise money on its behalf unless the charitable organization [is registered] HAS
APPLIED TO REGISTER with the Secretary of State.
6-617.
(A) A professional solicitor or associate solicitor may not solicit charitable
contributions for or in the name of a charitable organization unless the professional
solicitor or associate solicitor:
(1) has written authorization that contains:
(i) the consent of 2 officers of the charitable organization;
(ii) the signature of the professional solicitor; and
(iii) an express statement of the term of the authorization;
(2) submits a copy of the authorization to the Secretary of State; and
(3) on request, shows a copy of the authorization and personal identification
to a person who is solicited.
(B) A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION, PROFESSIONAL SOLICITOR, ASSOCIATE
SOLICITOR, OR FUND RAISING COUNSEL MAY NOT INTENTIONALLY SOLICIT A
PERSON WHO HAS INFORMED IT THAT THE PERSON DOES NOT WANT TO BE
SOLICITED.

AN INDIVIDUAL CONVICTED OF A THEFT RELATED FELONY MAY NOT FOR 3
YEARS, OCCUPY A POSITION WITH A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION OR
PROFESSIONAL SOLICITOR INVOLVING ITS MANAGEMENT OR DIRECTION, OR THE
CUSTODY OF OR AUTHORITY TO SPEND CONTRIBUTIONS.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.
