(i) Short and long term needs for services which the State Advisory
Council has identified;

(ii) Promoting and coordinating, in cooperation with other federal,
State, local or private agencies, unified programs for education, prevention, diagnosis,
treatment, rehabilitation, and control of alcohol abuse and drug abuse; and

(iii) Reviewing existing programs and facilities of the Administration
and short and long term plans.

8-405.

(a) Within 60 days after an application for an initial certification by an alcohol
abuse and drug abuse treatment program is received, the Department shall give the
governing bodies of the county and the municipality and, upon request, the members of
the General Assembly from the district where the program is to be located, notice of the
filing of the application, if the program is designed for residential living by 4 or more
unrelated people.

10-305.

The Maryland Advisory Council shall:

(1)     Advise the Administration generally on carrying out the provisions of
this title; and

(2)     Be a strong advocate of a comprehensive, broad-based approach to the
social, economic, and medical problems of mental hygiene.

10-422.

The Executive Board of the Center shall develop policy for the operations of the
Center, including policies on the assignments and responsibilities of the scientific
employees and technical employees of the Center.

13-107.

The Advisory Council may establish subcommittees.

13-407.

(a)     Subject to the requirements of this section, the Department may adopt rules
and regulations that are necessary and proper to govern the procedures and business of
the Advisory Council.

(b)     Before the Department adopts a rule or regulation, the Department shall
consult with the Advisory Council.

(c)     In addition to the duties set forth elsewhere in this subtitle, the State Advisory
Council shall:

(1) Maintain liaison with:

(i) The State Department of Education;
