AN ACT concerning

American Legion, Calvert Post 85 - Property Tax Credit

FOR the purpose of authorizing the governing body of Calvert County to grant, by law, a
property tax credit for real property that is owned by a certain organization.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

9-306.

(E) THE GOVERNING BODY OF CALVERT COUNTY MAY GRANT, BY LAW, A
PROPERTY TAX CREDIT UNDER THIS SECTION AGAINST THE COUNTY PROPERTY
TAX IMPOSED ON REAL PROPERTY THAT IS OWNED BY THE CALVERT POST NO. 85,
THE AMERICAN LEGION DEPARTMENT OF MARYLAND, INCORPORATED.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1993.
