12-101.
(A) (1) [The] UNLESS THE COURT FINDS FROM THE EVIDENCE THAT THE
AMOUNT OF THE AWARD WILL PRODUCE AN INEQUITABLE RESULT, FOR AN INITIAL
PLEADING THAT REQUESTS CHILD SUPPORT PENDENTE LITE, THE court [may]
SHALL award child support for a period from the filing of the pleading that requests child
support.
(2) FOR ANY OTHER PLEADING THAT REQUESTS CHILD SUPPORT, THE
COURT MAY AWARD CHILD SUPPORT FOR A PERIOD FROM THE FILING OF THE
PLEADING THAT REQUESTS CHILD SUPPORT.
(B) THE COURT SHALL GIVE CREDIT FOR DIRECT PAYMENTS THAT THE
COURT FINDS HAVE BEEN MADE DURING THE PERIOD BEGINNING FROM THE
FILING OF THE PLEADING THAT REQUESTS CHILD SUPPORT.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning
Chesapeake Bay Protection Act
FOR the purpose of requiring a person to obtain a permit to drill for oil or gas
exploration; requiring an applicant to submit an environmental assessment for
certain purposes for certain permits; establishing certain requirements and contents
for an environmental assessment; allowing the Department of Natural Resources to
bifurcate certain applications to drill for oil or gas and related requirements;
prohibiting drilling for oil or gas in the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area; requiring
certain regulations to be adopted by a certain date; requiring certain studies of
proposed oil or gas drilling activities under or through the Chesapeake Bay Critical
Area; altering certain criteria for an application to conduct seismic operations;
establishing certain procedures for deciding upon certain applications and notifying
certain persons; establishing certain mandatory provisions for denying certain
permits; allowing the Department to place certain conditions on certain permits,
subject to certain penalties; altering certain limitations on certain bonds required
under certain permits; altering the penalties for a willful violation of certain laws
concerning oil and gas, including fines, damages, and costs; making certain findings
and declarations of the General Assembly; making stylistic changes; and generally
relating to oil, gas, and permits for the exploration, production, and storage of oil
and gas.
