WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor                             Ch. 5

[(1)] (S) In Queen Anne's County the annual license fee [for such a license] is
$250.

[(m)](T) (1) THIS SUBSECTION APPLIES IN [In] St. Mary's County [the
annual fee for:].

[(1)](2) The 6-day (Sundays excluded) ANNUAL license FEE is $200[;
and].

[(2)] (3) The 7-day (Sundays included) ANNUAL license FEE is $250.

[(1-1)] (U) In Somerset County the annual LICENSE fee [for this license] is $200.

(V) (1) THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY IN TALBOT COUNTY.

(2) SECTION 206 OF THIS ARTICLE PERMITS THE TALBOT COUNTY
COUNCIL TO PROVIDE FOR THE RETAIL ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LAWS FOR THE
COUNTY WHICH, IF ENACTED, SUPERCEDE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ARTICLE.

[(n-1)](W) In Washington County[,] the annual license fee is $100.

(X) IN WICOMICO COUNTY THE ANNUAL LICENSE FEE IS $200.

[(n)](Y) (1) [In] THIS SUBSECTION APPLIES IN Worcester County[, the
annual fees for the following types of licenses are:].

[(i)] (2) [Six day —] THE SIX-DAY ANNUAL LICENSE FEE IS $250

[(ii)](3) [Seven day] THE SEVEN-DAY ANNUAL LICENSE FEE,
applied countywide, [—] IS $275.

[(2)] (4) The hours for sale are as provided in § 106(c).

[(o) This section shall not apply to Baltimore City, nor to Anne Arundel,
Baltimore, Frederick, Harford, and Talbot Counties, in all of which jurisdictions such
licenses shall not be issued.]

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

This section is reorganized to place all counties and Baltimore City in the standard
alphabetical arrangement. The exclusionary subsection, (o), is repealed because each
county is mentioned in the body of the section, with jurisdictions that do not have a Class
D (beer) license so noted.

In reorganizing, a conflict between the provisions of subsections (c) and (o) arose
concerning Anne Arundel County and its Class BT and BTM licenses. In a letter dated
June 15, 1992, Anne Arundel County Board of License Commissioners Chairman Thomas
E. Riggin advised that the Class BT and BTM licenses were in error and requested their
removal. The Class BT and BTM licenses in Anne Arundel County are a mistake that
occurred in Chapter 614 of the Acts of 1961.

In Talbot County, the provisions of § 206 of this article permit the Talbot County
Council to enact retail alcoholic beverages laws for that county; thus, subsection (v)(2).
