components that are required in a certain annual sanitary survey; requiring a bottler
to submit certain information to the Department and to bottle products in certain
ways once a waiver has been granted; requiring revocation of a waiver under certain
circumstances; prohibiting a certain construction of this Act; repealing the
application of certain State primary drinking water regulations under certain
circumstances and substituting the application of certain federal standards;
requiring certain information to be presented for the sale of water shipped from
outside the State; authorizing the acceptance of certification programs certain
analyses from other states under a certain circumstance; circumstances; altering
certain labeling requirements for certain waters; requiring bottled water to meet
certain filtration and disinfection treatment requirements; altering a certain
definition definitions; clarifying language; making certain stylistic corrections;
providing for the effective date of this Act; and generally relating to a waiver of
filtration and germicidal disinfection treatment requirements for bottled water
products and other related miscellaneous provisions.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Health - General
21-301.
(b) (1) "Bottled water" means any [drinking] water that is sealed in bottles or
other containers for:
(i) Drinking;
(ii) Cooking; or
(iii) Other purposes making it likely that the water will be ingested by
human beings.
(2) (i) "Bottled water" may:
