1993 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(i) the total number and value of procurement contracts between the
designated unit and certified minority business enterprises, BY SPECIFIC CATEGORY OF
MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE; and

(ii) the percentage that those procurement contracts represent, BY
SPECIFIC CATEGORY OF MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE, of the total number and
value of procurement contracts.

(b)     Within 90 days after the end of the fiscal year, each unit that is not required
to report under subsection (a) of this section shall send to the Governor's Office of
Minority Affairs:

(1)     to the extent available, the information required under subsection (a)(2)
of this section; and

(2)     a statement of the steps that the unit has taken to carry out the
requirements of § 14-302(a) of this subtitle.

(c)     On or before December 31 of each year, the Governor's Office of Minority
Affairs shall submit to the Board of Public Works and the Legislative Policy Committee a
report summarizing the information the Office receives under subsections (a) and (b) of
this section.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 2 of this Act is
contingent on the taking effect of the termination provision specified in Section 4 of
Chapter 708 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1990. If that termination provision
takes effect, Section 1 of this Act shall be void. This Act may not be interpreted to have
any effect on that termination provision.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning

Police Training Commission —Baltimore City School Police and Correctional Training

Commission

FOR the purpose of adding the Baltimore City School Police Force to the list of units
whose law enforcement officers are subject to provisions relating to the Police
Training Commission; permitting the Police Training Commission and the Correctional
Training Commission to appoint certain employees who shall serve at the pleasure of the
Commissions and shall perform certain functions; and generally relating to the Police
Training Commission and Correctional Training Commission
.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
