CHAPTER 300
(House Bill 390)

AN ACT concerning

Worcester County - Alcoholic Beverages
(Fees, Municipal Golf Courses, and 7-Day Licenses)

FOR the purpose of permitting the Worcester County Board of License Commissioners
to issue multiple alcoholic beverages licenses to the Mayor of Ocean City for use on
municipal golf courses; requiring a separate license for each municipal golf course;
imposing an annual license fee for a Worcester County alcoholic beverages caterer's
license; altering the license fee for a Worcester County, alcoholic beverages
racetrack license; clarifying language and renumbering; clarifying the applicability
of certain provisions relating to 7-day licensees; and generally relating to alcoholic
beverages in Worcester County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 21A, 24E, and 39B-1
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1990 Replacement Volume and 1992 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:         .

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

21A.

(a)     (1) (I) The Worcester County Board of License Commissioners may
issue a special 7-day Class D beer, wine and liquor on-sale retail license to the Mayor of
Ocean City for use on the premises of the Ocean City Municipal Golf [Course]

courses.

(ii) a separate license is required for each ocean city
municipal golf course.

(2)     Prior to the issuance of any license under this section, the Mayor shall
designate an individual to complete training in an alcohol awareness program approved
under § 130A of this article.

(3)     The individual designated by the Mayor shall:

(i) Represent the concessionaire; and

(ii) Be directly involved with the management of the sale of beer, wine,
and liquor by the concessionaire.

(b)     The holder may contract with and permit a concessionaire to keep for sale and
sell beer, wine, and liquor for on premises consumption only.
