[(3)] (4) a sale of electricity through 3 or more bulk meters for use in a
nonprofit planned retirement community of more than 2,000 housing cooperative or
condominium units if:

(i) ownership of units is restricted by age;

(ii) any unit is served by an individual meter; and

(iii) on or before July 1, 1979, at least 3 bulk meters served the
community.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning

Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, and Refrigeration Contractors - Licensing

Requirements

FOR the purpose of authorizing the State Board of Heating, Ventilation, Air-
Conditioning, and Refrigeration Contractors to allow certain applicants for certain
licenses who apply for the license by a certain date to obtain the license without
examination; and requiring certain applicants for certain licenses who fail to apply
for the license by a certain date to take an examination but not to get a journeyman
license or apprentice license.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(a) The Board shall issue without examination a master, master restricted, or
limited heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration contractor license to any
licensee holding a current, active or inactive master, master restricted, or limited heating,
ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration contractor license, or a similar license
issued by a subdivision of the State, if the licensee:
