Article - State Finance and Procurement

2-701.

In this subtitle the term "ethnic affairs unit" means:

(1)     the Commission on African American History and Culture;

(2)     the Commission on Indian Affairs; AND

(3)      [the Maryland Ethnic Heritage Commission; and
(4)] the Office of Asian-Pacific American Affairs.

Error: Obsolete reference in § 2-701 of the State Finance and Procurement

Occurred: As a result of Ch. 227, Acts of 1992, which eliminated the

Maryland Ethnic Heritage Commission.

5-707.

(a)     The Commission shall establish the following standing subcommittees and
may establish other subcommittees as needed:

(1)     the Subcommittee on Interjurisdictional Coordination, which shall
promote planning coordination and interjurisdictional cooperation among all jurisdictions
consistent with the [State's] STATE Economic Growth, Resource Protection, and
Planning Policy;

(3) the Subcommittee on Planning Techniques shall develop and promote
the use of planning guidelines, models, examples, and other planning tools needed to
implement the [State's] STATE Economic Growth, Resource Protection, and Planning
Policy and local plans; and

(b)     By December 1 of each year, the Commission shall prepare and submit an
annual report that:

(2)     includes:

(ii) suggested policy changes or legislation, if any, that the Commission
believes is necessary to achieve:

1. the [State's] STATE Economic Growth, Resource
Protection, and Planning Policy and consistency of the State's programs with that policy;

The [State's] STATE Economic Growth, Resource Protection, and Planning Policy
is that:

(1) development shall be concentrated in suitable areas;
