revert to the General Fund of the State; requiring the Treasurer to hold and the
Comptroller to account for the Fund Funds; providing for the investment of the
Fund Funds and earnings of the Fund Funds; providing for audits of the Fund
Funds; permitting the Fund Criminal Injuries Compensation Fund Funds to receive
funds from any source; providing that certain awards revert to the Fund Criminal
Injuries Compensation Fund under certain circumstances; providing for the
termination of the Judicial Assistance Fund; requiring the imposition of certain
court costs for certain crimes committed under the Transportation Article and for
certain delinquent acts; requiring that certain court costs be deposited into the
Fund; providing that for a certain fiscal year certain moneys shall be distributed to
the General Fund of the State certain funds; expanding the scope of the Maryland
Victims of Crime Fund to permit the Fund to be used for the purpose of
implementing laws that are adopted to benefit victims and witnesses of delinquent
acts; making a technical change; providing for the effective date of this Act; and
generally relating to the Criminal injuries Compensation Fund and the Judicial
Assistance Fund.
