Article - Labor and Employment

3-704.

(c) (2) If an employer compels an employee to work on the day of rest that the
employee chooses under subsection [(c)] (B) of this section, the employee is entitled to
bring an action against the employer to recover 3 times the regular rate of pay of the
employee for each hour the employee works on that day.

Error: Erroneous internal reference in § 3-704(c)(2) of the Labor and
Employment Article.

5-204.

(a) (2) The Workers' Compensation Commission shall reimburse the General
Fund of the State for the cost of administering this title from money that the Commission
receives under [§ 9-315(b)(l)] § 9-316 of this article.

Error: Incorrect cross-reference in § 5-204(a)(2) of the Labor and
Employment Article.

8-208.

(a) Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, employment is covered
employment if the employment is:

(1)     performed for a charitable, educational, religious, or other organization;
and

(2)     excluded from the definition of "employment" in the Federal
Unemployment Tax Act SOLELY by § 3306(c)(8) of the Act.

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

Error: Stylistic change in § 8-208(a) of the Labor and Employment Article
that resulted in an interpretation differing from that of the Federal
Unemployment Tax Act.
