[(e) An Authority facility may not be used to conduct professional basketball
games.

(f) The Authority may not construct or enter into a contract to construct more
than 1 new facility without the further approval of the General Assembly.]

[(g)] (D) "Convention Center Facilities" means:

(1)     Convention centers, trade show facilities, meeting halls, or other
structures in Baltimore City used for the holding of conventions, trade shows, meetings,
displays, or similar events, including without limitation the Baltimore City Convention
Center;

(2)     Offices, parking lots, garages, access roads, hotels, restaurants, railroad
sidings, and any other property, structures, furnishings, or equipment functionally related.
to the facilities described in paragraph (1) of this subsection; and

(3)     Other facilities and properties used or useful or having present capacity
for future use as, or in connection with, convention center facilities, including:

(i) Land, buildings, structures, machinery, equipment, and all
properties and rights therein and appurtenances thereof, and rights-of-way, franchises,
easements, and other interests in land;

(ii) All land and facilities that are functionally related to a convention
center facility; and

(iii) All patents, licenses, and other rights necessary or useful in the
construction or operation of a convention center facility.

[(h)](E) "Convention [center fund] CENTER FUND" means the Baltimore
Convention Center Financing Fund established under § 13-716 of this subtitle.

13-708.

(A) In addition to the powers set forth elsewhere in this subtitle, the Authority
may:

(1)     Adopt and alter an official seal;

(2)     Sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded;

(3)     Adopt bylaws, rules, and regulations to carry out the provisions of this
subtitle, in accordance with the provisions of Title 10, Subtitle 1 of the State Government
Article;

(4)     Maintain an office at such place as the Authority may designate;

(5)     Employ, either as regular employees or independent contractors,
consultants, engineers, architects, accountants, attorneys, financial experts, construction
experts and personnel, superintendents, managers and other professional personnel,
personnel, and agents as may be necessary in the judgment of the Authority, and fix their
compensation;
