SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

8-106.

(b) A juror shall receive the per diem amount stated in this section for each day
the juror attends court as a juror in:

(14) Howard County — [$20] $10 expense money[; no mileage allowance]
PLUS AN ADDITIONAL $10 EXPENSE MONEY IF THE SERVICE OF THE JUROR EXTENDS
PAST 1:00 P.M.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the implementation of
this Act is contingent on the establishment of a 1 day - 1 trial jury system by the Clerk of
the Circuit Court for Howard County, and if the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Howard
County does not establish a 1 day - 1 trial jury system, this Act may not be implemented.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, subject to Section 2 of
this Act, this Act shall take effect July 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning

Communicable Diseases - Laboratory Examination Reports

FOR the purpose of repealing the requirement that the director of a medical laboratory
report on separate forms specified communicable diseases; repealing altering the
prohibition against the compilation and distribution of certain lists by certain
individuals; altering certain requirements for certain reports; and generally relating
to the reporting of communicable diseases.
