(II)     CONTACT TO THE HEAD IS NOT PERMITTED; AND

(III)   NO CONTACT IS PERMITTED THAT MAY RESULT, OR IS
INTENDED TO RESULT, IN PHYSICAL HARM TO AN OPPONENT.

headgear in each amateur boxing match or exhibition.]

4-304.

(a)     A licensee shall be examined by a licensed physician who is chosen by the
Commission and who specializes in neurology or neurosurgery prior to the licensee's first
appearance as a contestant in a kick boxing or boxing contest following the issuance or
renewal of a license.

(b)     The Commission shall pay the cost of the neurological examination required
under this section FROM LICENSE FEES COLLECTED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE.

4-305.                                                                                                                                .

(a)     An applicant for a license shall;

(1)     submit to the Commission an application on the form that the
Commission provides; and

(2)     pay to the Commission an application fee of;

(i) $20 for a license to participate as a boxer, kick boxer, or wrestler in
a contest or to act as a second in a contest;

(ii) $25 for a license to act as a referee or judge in a contest;

(iii) $50 for a license to act as a manager [or] OF A BOXER OR KICK
BOXER;

(IV)   $50 FOR A LICENSE TO ACT AS A matchmaker of a contest; or

[(iv)] (V) [except as provided in subsection (c) of this section,] $300
for a license to act as a promoter of a contest.

(b)     The application shall contain the information that the Commission requires by
regulation.

[(c) The Commission may issue a license to act as a promoter in a contest at no fee
to the United States of America Amateur Boxing Federation or the Young Men's
Christian Association.]

4-308.

(a)     A boxer license authorizes the licensee to participate as a boxer in a contest.

(b)     A kick boxer license authorizes the licensee to participate as a kick boxer in a
contest.
