(C)     (1) Any person [or persons] wishing to conduct or operate games of bingo
shall secure a permit [therefor] from the County Commissioners of Washington County
[;and].

(2) [before] BEFORE issuing [such] A permit the County Commissioners
shall ascertain the purpose of the [said] games and the use of the receipts [thereof]
FROM THE GAMES.

(D)     (1) A PERSON WHO CONDUCTS OR OPERATES A GAME OF BINGO IN
WASHINGTON COUNTY IN VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION IS GUILTY OF A
MISDEMEANOR AND ON CONVICTION IS SUBJECT TO A FINE NOT EXCEEDING $1,000
OR IMPRISONMENT NOT EXCEEDING 1 YEAR OR BOTH.

(2) EACH DAY A VIOLATION OCCURS IS A SEPARATE VIOLATION UNDER
THIS SUBSECTION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning

Income Tax - Nonresidents - Withholding - Sale of Real Property

FOR the purpose of requiring withholding on the sales of real property by nonresident
owners; requiring certain persons to withhold a percentage of the proceeds from the
sale of real property by a nonresident individual or corporation; requiring the
designated responsible person to remit the withholding taxes to the Comptroller;
specifying certain cases for which these provisions do not apply certain persons to file
information returns with the Comptroller on sales of real property by nonresident
individual owners; and generally relating to income tax.
