(f) The burden shall be on the person who furnishes information to a consumer
reporting agency or user of information to show that the failure to comply with any
requirement under this subtitle was unintentional and in good faith.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning

Cecil County - Marriage License Fees

FOR the purpose of altering the maximum additional marriage license fee required to be
set by the Cecil County Board of County Commissioners to fund battered spouse
shelters and domestic violence programs; and generally relating to marriage license
fees in Cecil County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

2-404.

(a) (1) The fee for a license is $10.
(2) The clerk shall:

(i) retain $5 of the fee; and

(ii) pay $5 of the fee into the general fund of the county.
