Article 24 - Political Subdivisions - Miscellaneous Provisions

If any section or part of a section of this subtitle IS held
to be invalid for any reason, such holding shall not be construed
as affecting the validity of any remaining section or part of a
section of this subtitle, it being the legislative intent that
the remainder of this subtitle shall stand, notwithstanding the
invalidity of such section or part of a section.

(a) (1) To protect hotel rental tax revenue, [and] AN
authorized county may require a hotel to file security with that
county in an amount that the county determines.

Occurred: In the printing of the 1988 Cumulative
Supplement to the 1987 Replacement Volume of Volume 1
of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

9-712.

(d) (2) If a tax collector does not make a determination
on a claim for refund within 6 months after the claim is filed,
the claimant may:

[(1)] (I) Consider the claim as being disallowed; and

[(2)] (II) Appeal the disallowance to the Tax Court.
