2-702. TERMINATION OF TITLE.

SUBJECT TO THE EVALUATION AND REESTABLISHMENT PROVISIONS OF
THE MARYLAND PROGRAM EVALUATION ACT, THIS TITLE AND ALL
REGULATIONS ADOPTED UNDER THIS TITLE SHALL TERMINATE AND BE OF NO
EFFECT AFTER JULY 1, 1994.

(A) IN GENERAL.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from the first clause of
former Art. 56, § 464(a).

The second and third clauses of former Art. 56, §
464(a), which provided a disclaimer if "a contrary
meaning is clearly intended from the context in which
the term is used", are deleted as surplusage, since
the former clauses merely repeated the normal rule of
statutory construction. However, similar clauses are
added in definitions of terms that occasionally appear
in a context that requires a less limited meaning.

(B) ARCHITECT.

"ARCHITECT" MEANS AN INDIVIDUAL WHO PRACTICES ARCHITECTURE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added to
allow concise and consistent reference to an
individual who practices architecture, whether or not
licensed to do so.
