The fifth sentence of former Art. 75 1/2, § 7, which
provided that a public member of the Board may vote,
is deleted as superfluous and misleading. Except as
provided in Art. 41, § 8-102(d) -- now repeated as §
14-202(e)(2) of this subtitle -- for the grading of
examinations, there is nothing in the law that
purports to restrict the function of any member of the
Board.

14-205. CODE OF ETHICS.

(A)   IN GENERAL.

WITH THE ADVICE OF THE ESTABLISHED ENGINEERING SOCIETIES,
THE BOARD SHALL ADOPT, BY REGULATION, A CODE OF ETHICS FOR
PRACTICING ENGINEERING.

(B)  DISTRIBUTION.

THE BOARD SHALL DISTRIBUTE A COPY OF THE CODE OF ETHICS:

(1)  TO EACH APPLICANT FOR A LICENSE; AND

(2)  ON EACH RENEWAL OF A LICENSE, TO EACH LICENSEE.

(C)  NOTICE OF AMENDMENTS.

IN ADDITION TO COMPLYING WITH THE PUBLICATION REQUIREMENTS
OF TITLE 10, SUBTITLE 1 OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT ARTICLE, THE
BOARD SHALL DISTRIBUTE A COPY OF ANY AMENDMENT TO THE CODE OF
ETHICS TO EACH LICENSEE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the second sentence of
former Art. 75 1/2, § 8(a) and the first and third
sentences of (b)(1).

In subsection (a) of this section, the phrase "by
regulation" is substituted for the former, incomplete
reference to "procedures set forth in the
Administrative Procedure Act governing the
promulgation of rules and regulations", which failed
to reflect other generally applicable provisions for
adoption of regulations. See Title 10, Subtitle 1 of
the State Government Article.

In subsection (b)(2) of this section, the phrase "on
each renewal of a license" is substituted for the
former reference to publication "in the annual roster
provided for in § 11" since the referenced § 11 was
