"BOARD" MEANS THE STATE BOARD FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 75 1/2, §
2(f).

The name of the Board is conformed to the substantive
provision that creates the Board. See the revisor's
note to § 14-201 of this title.

Defined term: "Professional engineer" § 14-101

(C)  ENGINEER.

"ENGINEER" MEANS AN INDIVIDUAL WHO PRACTICES ENGINEERING.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added     to

allow concise and consistent reference to     an

individual who practices engineering, whether or    not
qualified to do so.

Former Art. 75 1/2, § 2(b), which defined "[e]ngineer"
as an individual who is qualified to practice
engineering, is revised, in subsection (f) of this
section, as the defined term "practice engineering".
See also subsection (g) of this section, which defines
"professional engineer".

(D)  LICENSE.

(1)   "LICENSE" MEANS, UNLESS THE CONTEXT REQUIRES
OTHERWISE, A LICENSE ISSUED BY THE BOARD TO PRACTICE ENGINEERING.

(2)  "LICENSE" INCLUDES, UNLESS THE CONTEXT REQUIRES
OTHERWISE, A LIMITED LICENSE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added to
avoid repetition of phrases such as "license to
practice engineering".

(E)  LIMITED LICENSE.

"LIMITED LICENSE" MEANS A LICENSE ISSUED BY THE BOARD TO
PRACTICE ENGINEERING AS LIMITED BY § 14-316 OF THIS TITLE.
