13-608. LOSS OF CERTIFICATION CARDS.

IF A CERTIFIED PRIVATE DETECTIVE OR CERTIFIED SECURITY GUARD
LOSES A CERTIFICATION CARD, THE PRIVATE DETECTIVE OR SECURITY
GUARD IMMEDIATELY SHALL GIVE THE SUPERINTENDENT NOTICE OF THE
LOSS AND THE CIRCUMSTANCES REGARDING THE LOSS.

SUBTITLE 7. PROHIBITED ACTS; PENALTIES.

13-701. UNAUTHORIZED PROVISION OF PRIVATE DETECTIVE SERVICES OR
SECURITY GUARDS.

(A)  ENGAGING IN BUSINESS OF PRIVATE DETECTIVE AGENCY
WITHOUT LICENSE.

A PERSON MAY NOT ENGAGE IN, ATTEMPT TO ENGAGE IN, OR OFFER
TO ENGAGE IN A BUSINESS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING PRIVATE
DETECTIVE SERVICES IN THE STATE UNLESS LICENSED AS A PRIVATE
DETECTIVE AGENCY BY THE SUPERINTENDENT.

(B)  PROVISION OF PRIVATE DETECTIVE SERVICES BY UNAUTHORIZED
INDIVIDUAL.

AN INDIVIDUAL MAY NOT PROVIDE, ATTEMPT TO PROVIDE, OR OFFER
TO PROVIDE PRIVATE DETECTIVE SERVICES IN THE STATE UNLESS
CERTIFIED AS A PRIVATE DETECTIVE BY THE SUPERINTENDENT.

(C)    ENGAGING IN BUSINESS OF PROVIDING SECURITY GUARDS
WITHOUT LICENSE.
