(F) FAILURE OR REFUSAL TO APPEAR.

IF, AFTER DUE NOTICE, THE INDIVIDUAL AGAINST WHOM THE ACTION
IS CONTEMPLATED FAILS OR REFUSES TO APPEAR, NEVERTHELESS THE
SUPERINTENDENT MAY HEAR AND DETERMINE THE MATTER.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsections (a) through (e) of this section
formerly appeared as Art. 56, § 588.

Subsection (f) of this section is new language added
to clarify that, after an accused individual has been
given proper notice, the Superintendent may proceed
with a hearing even if the individual fails to appear.

The only other changes are in style.

13-511. SAME -- SURRENDER OF SECURITY GUARD CERTIFICATION CARD.

WITHIN 5 DAYS AFTER THE SUPERINTENDENT SUSPENDS OR REVOKES
THE CERTIFICATION OF AN INDIVIDUAL AS SECURITY GUARD, THE
INDIVIDUAL SHALL SURRENDER TO THE SUPERINTENDENT THE
CERTIFICATION CARD OF THE INDIVIDUAL.

§ 589.

A PRIVATE DETECTIVE AGENCY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTS OF
EACH OF ITS EMPLOYEES WHILE THE EMPLOYEE IS CONDUCTING THE
BUSINESS OF THE AGENCY.
