13-316. SAME -- SURRENDER OF CERTIFICATES; FORFEITURE OF FEES.

(A)  SURRENDER OF CERTIFICATES.

WITHIN 5 DAYS AFTER THE SUPERINTENDENT SUSPENDS OR REVOKES
THE LICENSE OF A PERSON, THE PERSON SHALL SURRENDER TO THE
SUPERINTENDENT THE AGENCY LICENSE CERTIFICATE AND EACH BRANCH
OFFICE CERTIFICATE OF THE PERSON.

(B)  FORFEITURE OF FEES.

THE SUPERINTENDENT MAY NOT REFUND TO A PERSON WHOSE LICENSE
IS SUSPENDED OR REVOKED ANY FEE PAID UNDER THIS TITLE.

SUBTITLE 4. CERTIFICATION OF PRIVATE
DETECTIVES.

13-401. CERTIFICATION REQUIRED.

AN INDIVIDUAL SHALL BE CERTIFIED BY THE SUPERINTENDENT AS A
PRIVATE DETECTIVE BEFORE THE INDIVIDUAL PERSONALLY MAY PROVIDE
ANY PRIVATE DETECTIVE SERVICE IN THE STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section formerly appeared as Art. 56,
§ 566.

The former reference to an exception under former Art.
56, § 579 -- now § 13-501 of this title -- is deleted
as meaningless.
