11-706. CRIMINAL PENALTY FOR FAILURE TO PROVIDE WASTE DISPOSAL
REGULATIONS.

A LICENSED PILOT WHO VIOLATES ANY PROVISION OF § 11-601(B)
OF THIS TITLE IS GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND ON CONVICTION IS
SUBJECT TO A FINE NOT EXCEEDING $100.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the second sentence of
former Art. 74, § 12A.

SUBTITLE 8. SHORT TITLE; TERMINATION OF TITLE.

11-801. SHORT TITLE.

THIS TITLE MAY BE CITED AS THE "MARYLAND PILOTS ACT".

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language added to
conform to similar sections in other titles of this
article and to provide a convenient reference to this
title.

Defined term: "Pilot" § 11-101

11-802. TERMINATION OF TITLE.

SUBJECT TO THE EVALUATION AND REESTABLISHMENT PROVISIONS OF
THE MARYLAND PROGRAM EVALUATION ACT, THIS TITLE AND ALL
REGULATIONS ADOPTED UNDER THIS TITLE SHALL TERMINATE AND BE OF NO
EFFECT AFTER JULY 1, 1993.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 74, § 17.

As to the Md. Program Evaluation Act, see Title 8,
Subtitle 4 of the State Government Article.

GENERAL REVISOR'S NOTE:

Former Art. 74, § 16, which empowered the Board to require
the pilots to maintain pilot boats of at least a certain
dimension, to keep 3 pilot boats at sea in certain locations, to
adopt regulations about the cruising of pilot boats, and to
appoint 5 pilots to enforce the regulations, inspect the pilot
boats, and generally do all things necessary for the efficient
provision of pilotage, is deleted as obsolete in light of the
more modern equipment currently maintained by the pilots through
