VETOES
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 1070.
This bill enacts the Maryland Uniform Trade Secrets Act by
establishing provisions relating to injunctive relief, damages,
and court procedures regarding trade secrets.
Senate Bill 667, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on May 25, 1989, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 1070.
Sincerely,
William Donald Schaefer
Governor
