SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989, and shall be applicable to all taxable
years beginning after June 30, 1989.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 805.

This bill addresses trailer and mobile home park taxes imposed by
counties and municipal corporations.

House Bill 964, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on May 25, 1989, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 805.

AN ACT concerning

Trailer and Mobile Home Park Taxes

FOR the purpose of authorizing a county or municipal corporation
to impose a certain tax with respect to recreational
vehicles and camping shelters in trailer and mobile home
parks instead of a certain other tax; limiting the rate of
the tax that may be imposed; defining certain terms; and
generally relating to certain taxes with respect to mobile
home and trailer parks.
