Ch. 3                                           LAWS OF MARYLAND

AT LEAST 1 MONTH BEFORE A LICENSE EXPIRES, THE BOARD SHALL
MAIL TO THE LICENSEE, AT THE LAST KNOWN ADDRESS OF THE LICENSEE:.

(1)  A RENEWAL APPLICATION FORM; AND

(2)  A NOTICE THAT STATES:

(I)  THE DATE ON WHICH THE CURRENT LICENSE
EXPIRES;

(II)  THE DATE BY WHICH THE BOARD MUST RECEIVE
THE RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR THE RENEWAL TO BE ISSUED AND MAILED
BEFORE THE LICENSE EXPIRES; AND

(III)  THE AMOUNT OF THE RENEWAL FEE.

(C)  APPLICATIONS FOR RENEWAL.

BEFORE A LICENSE EXPIRES, THE LICENSEE PERIODICALLY MAY
RENEW IT FOR AN ADDITIONAL 2-YEAR TERM, IF THE LICENSEE:

(1)  OTHERWISE IS ENTITLED TO BE LICENSED;

(2)  PAYS TO THE BOARD A RENEWAL FEE NOT EXCEEDING
$80, AS SET BY THE BOARD; AND

(3)  SUBMITS TO THE BOARD:

(I)  A RENEWAL APPLICATION ON THE FORM THAT THE
BOARD PROVIDES; AND

(II)  SATISFACTORY EVIDENCE OF COMPLIANCE WITH
THE CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS SET UNDER THIS SUBTITLE FOR
LICENSE RENEWAL.

(D)   ISSUANCE OF RENEWAL.

THE BOARD SHALL RENEW THE LICENSE OF EACH LICENSEE WHO MEETS
THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section formerly appeared as Art. 75A,
§ 2-311.

In subsection (b) of this section, the words "first
class", which formerly modified the word "mail", are
deleted as unnecessary in light of 39 C.F.R...§
111.5(a), which incorporates, by reference, the
delineation of first class mail in the Domestic Mail
Manual. This deletion also conforms to similar
provisions elsewhere in this article.

The only other changes are in style.
