In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 404.

This bill alters the membership of the Interagency Committee on
Aging Services and changes the scope of the Committee's
responsibilities."

House Bill 563, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on May 25, 1989, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 404.

AN ACT concerning

Interagency Committee on Aging Services - Older Marylanders Act

FOR the purpose of altering the membership of the Interagency
Committee on Aging Services; changing the scope of the
Committee's responsibilities; providing for an Executive
Director of the Committee; identifying certain services to
which older persons will have access through a single point
of entry; providing for a services system for certain frail
or health impaired elderly persons; and generally relating
to services for elderly persons.
