WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor

securityship from the defalcation of such clerk or register or
from other malfeasance in office, the judge of such court shall
forthwith pass an order requiring a copy of the said petition to
be served on such clerk or register within five days and shall
within ten days thereafter take up the case and if he shall be
satisfied from the evidence of the truth of the matters alleged,
he shall pass an order requiring such clerk or register within a
specified time to give countersecurity to be approved in the same
manner as his original bond; and for every day after the
expiration of such specified time that such clerk or register
shall fail to give such countersecurity, he shall be subject to a
penalty of fifty dollars, which may be recovered by separate
action for each penalty, in the name of the State, in the same
manner provided for the recovery of small debts; and upon
judgment for any such penalty the fees of office of such clerk or
register[, whether] for office work [or for State tax on
commission,] may be attached by way of execution; and such
penalty shall inure and be payable to the sureties of such clerk
or register to insure them against any loss which they may
sustain by the defalcation, misfeasance or malfeasance of such
clerk or register.

Article - Estates and Trusts

2-206.

(a) The registers of wills are entitled to charge and
collect for the performance of their duties the fees in this
section.

[(b) For taking probate of wills, entering the names,
necessary oaths including and granting letters testamentary,
taking, filing, and recording bond, issuing warrant to appraisers
and administering the necessary oaths to the person or persons to
whom letters may be granted, including seals to letters and
warrants to appraise......................................$10.00]

[(c) For entering on the estate docket, papers filed in an
estate so that the docket will show a complete list of incidents
connected with the administration of each estate...........$3.50]

[(d) For filing an election of a surviving spouse to take
an intestate share and for filing renunciations of heirs or
legatees, personal representatives, guardians, trustees....$1.00]

(B) (1) FOR TAKING PROBATE OF WILLS AND FURNISHING 2
CERTIFIED COPIES OF THE WILL AND CODICILS, GRANTING LETTERS OF
ADMINISTRATION AND FURNISHING 12 CERTIFICATES OF LETTERS, ISSUING
WARRANTS TO APPRAISE, ENTERING ON ESTATE DOCKET, FILING ELECTIONS
OF SURVIVING SPOUSES TO TAKE INTESTATE SHARES, FILING
RENUNCIATIONS AND DISCLAIMERS, FILING AND RECORDING WILLS, BONDS,
INVENTORIES, ACCOUNTS OF SALE, RELEASES, ADMINISTRATION ACCOUNTS,
PETITIONS AND ORDERS, AND OTHER PAPERS FILED IN THE
