AN ACT concerning

Commercial Law - Mechanical Repair Contracts - Financed
Sales of Motor Vehicles

FOR the purpose of clarifying that authorizing the financing of
mechanical repair contracts under certain circumstances may
be financed when sold in connection with the sale of a motor
vehicle, provided that the mechanical repair contract is
separately itemized in the financing agreement; providing
for the sale of mechanical repair contracts for certain
motor vehicles under certain circumstances; providing for
the applicability of this Act; and generally relating to the
sale of mechanical repair contracts in connection with
financed sales of motor vehicles.

Preamble

WHEREAS, It appears that ambiguities may exist under
Maryland law as to whether mechanical repair contracts sold in
connection with the sale of a motor vehicle may be financed along
with the sale of motor vehicles; and
