Assembly, this Act shall be abrogated and of no further force and
effect.
SECTION 3 SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Act shall take effect October 1, 1989.

AN ACT concerning
Health Maintenance Organizations Alternative Health Systems -
Reporting and Disclosure of Information
---Civil Immunity
FOR the purpose of providing certain persons associated with a
health maintenance organization an alternative health system
with civil immunity for reporting certain information about
a physician to certain persons under certain circumstances;
adding health maintenance organizations alternative health
systems to the list of persons to whom certain persons may
disclose certain information without incurring liability;
requiring the State Board of Physician Quality Assurance to
disclose certain information to a health maintenance
organization concerning physicians who are affiliated with
the health maintenance organization; requiring a health
maintenance organization to file certain reports with the
State Board of Physician Quality Assurance concerning
physicians who are affiliated with the health maintenance
organization or who are applying to become affiliated with
the health maintenance organization; requiring certain
courts within a certain time to notify the Board of each
conviction of or entry of a plea of guilty or nolo
contendere by a physician for certain crimes; providing
civil immunity to certain persons who make certain reports;
providing certain penalties for failure to comply with the
reporting requirements of this Act; and generally relating
to civil immunity for certain persons to the reporting and
disclosure of certain information concerning physicians by
certain persons associated with a health maintenance
organization an alternative health system under certain
circumstances.
