SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 12-501(b) through (h), respectively, of
Article - Business Occupations of the Annotated Code of Maryland

(as enacted by Chapter ____ (S.B. 1) of the Acts of the General

Assembly of 1989) be renumbered to be Section(s) 12-501(c)
through (i), respectively.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of
Maryland read as follows:

Article - Business Occupations

12-501.

(a) A master plumber or holder of a limited master plumber
license may not contract to provide plumbing services on behalf
of the master plumber, holder of a limited master plumber
license, or another person who engages in the business of
providing plumbing services unless the plumbing work of the
master plumber or holder of a limited master plumber license is
covered by liability insurance, including completed
operations[:], IN THE AMOUNT REQUIRED UNDER SUBSECTION (B) OF
THIS SECTION.

(B) (1) EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (2) OF THIS
SUBSECTION, THE AMOUNT OF INSURANCE REQUIRED UNDER THIS SECTION
