Ch. 3

UNLESS A PERMIT IS RENEWED FOR A 2-YEAR TERM AS PROVIDED IN
THIS SECTION, THE PERMIT EXPIRES ON THE FIRST JUNE 30 THAT COMES:

(1)  AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE PERMIT; AND

(2)  IN AN EVEN-NUMBERED YEAR.

(B)  RENEWAL NOTICE.

AT LEAST 1 MONTH BEFORE A PERMIT EXPIRES, THE BOARD SHALL
MAIL TO THE PERMIT HOLDER, AT THE LAST KNOWN ADDRESS OF THE
HOLDER:

(1)  A RENEWAL APPLICATION FORM; AND

(2)  A NOTICE THAT STATES:

(I)  THE DATE ON WHICH THE CURRENT PERMIT
EXPIRES;

(II)  THE DATE BY WHICH THE BOARD MUST RECEIVE
THE RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR THE RENEWAL TO BE ISSUED AND MAILED
BEFORE THE PERMIT EXPIRES; AND

(III)  THE AMOUNT OF THE RENEWAL FEE.

(C)  APPLICATIONS FOR RENEWAL.

BEFORE A PERMIT EXPIRES, THE PERMIT HOLDER PERIODICALLY MAY
RENEW IT FOR AN ADDITIONAL 2-YEAR TERM, IF THE HOLDER:

(1)  OTHERWISE IS ENTITLED TO A PERMIT;

(2)  PAYS TO THE BOARD THE RENEWAL FEE SET BY THE
BOARD; AND

(3)  SUBMITS TO THE BOARD A RENEWAL APPLICATION ON THE
FORM THAT THE BOARD PROVIDES.

(D)  CONTENTS OF RENEWAL APPLICATION FORM.

THE RENEWAL APPLICATION FORM SHALL REQUIRE THE SAME
INFORMATION REQUIRED ON THE ORIGINAL APPLICATION FORM UNDER §
9-405(B) OF THIS SUBTITLE.

(E)  ISSUANCE OF RENEWAL.

THE BOARD SHALL RENEW THE PERMIT OF EACH PERMIT HOLDER THAT
MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.
