REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first sentence of
former Art. 56, § 278(h) and the first sentence of §
280(c)(2).

In the introductory language of subsection (a) of this
section, the defined term "permit" is substituted for
the former reference to a "certificate of
authorization", to provide a term that describes the
authority granted to a partnership or corporation and
is consistent with the language used to describe
similar grants of authority in connection with other
business occupations that are regulated under this
article. See the General Revisor's Note to this
article.

In subsection (a)(2) of this section, the words
"application fee" are substituted for the former words
"original authorization fee", to provide a descriptive
term that is consistent with the language used in
similar provisions elsewhere in this article.

In subsection (b)(2) of this section, the word
"shareholder" is substituted for the former word
"members", for clarity.

In subsection (b)(3) of this section, the former
reference to "officers" of a partnership is deleted as
erroneous.

9-207 of this title.

9-406. ISSUANCE OF PERMIT.

THE BOARD SHALL ISSUE A PERMIT TO EACH APPLICANT WHO MEETS
THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SUBTITLE.
