(III) THE AMOUNT OF THE RENEWAL FEE.

(C)  APPLICATIONS FOR RENEWAL.

BEFORE A LICENSE EXPIRES, THE LICENSEE PERIODICALLY MAY
RENEW IT FOR AN ADDITIONAL 2-YEAR TERM, IF THE LICENSEE:

(1)  OTHERWISE IS ENTITLED TO BE LICENSED;

(2)  PAYS TO THE BOARD THE RENEWAL FEE SET BY THE
BOARD; AND

(3)  SUBMITS TO THE BOARD A RENEWAL APPLICATION ON THE
FORM THAT THE BOARD PROVIDES.

(D)  ISSUANCE OF RENEWAL.

THE BOARD SHALL RENEW THE LICENSE OF EACH LICENSEE WHO MEETS
THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language added to state expressly that which only was
implied by the reference, in former Art. 56, § 278(c),
to "biennial license renewal". This addition conforms
to the practice of the Board to require renewal by
June 30 of each even-numbered year.

Subsection (b) of this section is new language added
to conform to the practice of the Board and to similar
provisions governing other State-regulated
occupations.

Subsection (c)(1) of this section is new language
added for clarity.

Subsection (c)(2) of this section is new language
derived without substantive change from the first
sentence of former Art. 56, § 278(h).

Subsection (c)(3) of this section is standard language
added to state expressly that which only was implied
in the former law -- i.e., applications may be made
only on the form that the Board provides.

Subsection (d) of this section is standard language
added to state expressly that which only was implied
in the former law -- i.e., the Board must renew the
license of a qualified licensee.

The first sentence of former Art. 56, § 280(b), which
stated that the right to practice landscape
architecture "is a personal right", is deleted as
