LAWS OF MARYLAND

(3) ALL MONEYS RECEIVED UPON DISPOSITION OF
INFORMATION PROCESSING EQUIPMENT PURCHASED FROM THE FUND.

(E)  (1) THE STATE TREASURER SHALL HOLD AND THE STATE
COMPTROLLER SHALL ACCOUNT FOR THE FUND.

(2)  THE FUND SHALL BE INVESTED AND REINVESTED IN THE
SAME MANNER AS OTHER STATE FUNDS.

(3)  INVESTMENT EARNINGS SHALL ACCRUE TO THE CREDIT OF
THE GENERAL FUND.

(F)  EXPENDITURES FROM THE FUND SHALL BE MADE ONLY IN
ACCORDANCE WITH AN APPROPRIATION APPROVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY
IN THE ANNUAL STATE BUDGET.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.

AN ACT concerning

Crimes and Punishments - Harmful Access to
Computers, Systems, and Services

FOR the purposes of prohibiting intentional and unauthorized
harmful access to computers and certain devices or systems
related to computers; providing certain penalties; providing
for restitution; clarifying language and generally relating
to crimes relating to computers.

FOR the purpose of prohibiting a person from accessing,
attempting to access, or causing access to a computer or
certain systems or services concerning a computer under
certain circumstances; prohibiting a person from identifying
or attempting to identify, distribute, or publicize certain
codes under certain circumstances; altering the definitions
of certain terms; providing certain penalties; clarifying
language; and generally relating to access to a computer or
certain systems or services concerning a computer.

BY. repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
