Article 88B - State Police
13.
The [Department] MARYLAND STATE POLICE shall administer the
laws relating to the sales of pistols and revolvers, the
licensing and supervision of PRIVATE DETECTIVE AGENCIES AND
CERTIFICATION OF private detectives AND SECURITY GUARDS, the
registration of eavesdropping or wiretapping devices, and the
inspection of certain classes of motor vehicles as provided
elsewhere in this Code. The [Department] MARYLAND STATE POLICE
shall perform such other duties as may be assigned from time to
time by the General Assembly.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Article -
Business Occupations of the Annotated Code of Maryland (as
enacted by Chapter 5 3 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
1989) be and it is hereby renamed to be Article - Business
Occupations and Professions.
SECTION 4 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect October 1, 1989.

AN ACT concerning
Trespassing on Private Property - Method of Posting
FOR the purpose of allowing the owner or tenant of private
property to post the property against trespassers using
certain methods; providing for the size, height, and
visibility of certain paint marks on trees or posts under
this Act; requiring the Department of Natural Resources to
adopt certain regulations; making stylistic and technical
changes; and generally relating to providing an alternative
method by which private property in this State may be posted
against trespassers.
