[10-606] 10-605.
A sheriff, deputy sheriff, constable, police officer, or
other law enforcement official may not solicit clients for a
lawyer in a place where individuals are held while awaiting trial
for criminal offenses.
[10-607] 10-606.
(a) [A person who violates § 10-604(b)(l) or (2) of this
subtitle is subject to a fine not exceeding $50.
(b) A person who violates § 10-604(b)(3), (4), (5), or (6)
of this subtitle is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is
subject to a fine not exceeding $100.
(c)] (1) A . corporation, partnership, or any other
association that violates § 10-601 OR § 10-602 of this subtitle
is subject to a fine not exceeding [$500] $5,000.
(2) An officer, director, partner, trustee, agent, or
employee who acts to enable a corporation, partnership, or
association to violate § 10-601 OR § 10-602 of this subtitle is
guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine
not exceeding [$500] $5,000 OR IMPRISONMENT NOT EXCEEDING 1 YEAR
OR BOTH.
[(d)] (3) Except as provided in [subsections (c) and
(f)(1)] PARAGRAPHS (1) AND (2) of this [section] SUBSECTION, a
person who violates [§ 10-601(a)] § 10-601 of this subtitle is
guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine
not exceeding [$100 and] $5,000 OR imprisonment not exceeding [30
days] 1 YEAR or both.
[(e) A person who violates § 10-605 of this subtitle is
guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine
not exceeding $500 or imprisonment not exceeding 3 months or
both.
(f) (1) An individual who violates § 10-601(a) of this
subtitle while the individual is on inactive status or disbarred
or while the individual's right to practice law is suspended or
revoked is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject
to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 1
year or both.
(2) A person who violates § 10-606 of this subtitle
is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine
not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 1 year.
(g) A person who violates any provision of § 10-602 or §
10-603 of this subtitle is guilty of a misdemeanor and on
