WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor Ch. 632

to be Article - Business Occupations and Professions
Annotated Code of Maryland

(As enacted by Chapter 5 3 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1989)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 4-204(a) through (c), 5-305(f),
8-204(a) through (c), 8-516 through 8-518, and 9-204(a) through
(c), respectively, of Article - Business Occupations of the

Annotated Code of Maryland (as enacted by Chapter ___ (S.B. 1) of

the Acts of the General Assembly of 1989) be renumbered to be
4-204(b) through (d), 5-305(g), 8-204(b) through (d), 8-515
through 8-517, and 9-204(b) through (d), respectively.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s) 8-519
of Article - Business Occupations of the Annotated Code of

Maryland (as enacted by Chapters ___ (S.B. 1) and ___ (H.B. ___

(lr 0546)) of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1989) be
renumbered to be 8-518.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of
Maryland read as follows:

Article - Business Occupations

3-103.

(a) This title does not require a person to employ a
licensed architect in connection with any alteration,
construction, design, or repair of a building or other structure
[of that person] THAT:

(1)   IS FOR PERSONAL USE; AND

(2)   IS NOT INTENDED FOR ANY USE, INCLUDING ASSEMBLY,
EMPLOYMENT, OR OCCUPANCY, BY THE PUBLIC.

3-204.

(a) [Three members] A MAJORITY OF THE AUTHORIZED MEMBERSHIP
of the Board [are] IS a quorum.

3-206.

(d) (1) The Board may sue in the name of the State to
enforce any provision of this title by injunction.
