AN ACT concerning

Montgomery and Prince George's Counties -
Grants for Local Bus Service

FOR the purpose of providing that under certain circumstances the
Maryland Department of Transportation shall provide for
grants to specific counties for a share of the operating
deficits for certain bus services; providing for a certain
capital replacement allowance for buses used in certain
services; eliminating a sunset provision; defining certain
terms; and generally relating to the requirement that the
Department of Transportation provide certain grants to
specific counties for certain bus services.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Chapter 689 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1984, as
amended by Chapter 295 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1986 and Chapter 506 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1987

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Chapter 689 of the Acts of 1984, as

amended by Chapter 295 of the Acts

of 1986 and Chapter 506 of the Acts of 1987

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984 [and shall remain effective for a period
of 5 years, and at the end of June 30, 1989, and with no further
