AN ACT concerning
Charles County - Bingo and Gaming Regulation
FOR the purpose of altering the authority of the County
Commissioners of Charles County to regulate bingo and gaming
events in Charles County; establishing the Charles County
Gaming Permit Review Board; providing for the composition of
the Board; granting certain powers and imposing certain
duties on the County Commissioners and the Board;
prohibiting certain gaming activities except by certain
persons under certain conditions; requiring permits for
certain gaming activities; establishing certain procedures
for gaming permit applications; prescribing certain
limitations on the conduct of gaming activities by certain
persons at certain times; limiting the number of gaming
events which certain persons may conduct within certain
periods; providing certain exceptions to certain
restrictions on operation of gaming activities; requiring
certain reports and recordkeeping by certain persons;
prohibiting division of proceeds of certain gaming
activities with certain persons; establishing penalties for
certain violations, including fines, imprisonment, and a
certain ineligibility for a permit; providing for the
construction of this Act; defining certain terms; specifying
the terms of the initial members of the Board; and generally
relating to bingo and gaming activities in Charles County.
