(4)  A MEMBER WHO IS APPOINTED AFTER A TERM HAS BEGUN
SERVES ONLY FOR THE REST OF THE TERM AND UNTIL A SUCCESSOR IS
APPOINTED AND QUALIFIES.

(5)  A MEMBER MAY NOT SERVE MORE THAN 2 TERMS
CONSECUTIVELY, BUT FOLLOWING THE 2ND TERM, MAY SERVE AGAIN AFTER
AN INTERVAL OF AT LEAST 3 YEARS.

(G) REMOVAL.

(1)  THE GOVERNOR MAY REMOVE A MEMBER FOR INCOMPETENCE
OR MISCONDUCT.

(2)  THE GOVERNOR SHALL REMOVE A MEMBER WHO CEASES TO
MEET THE REQUIREMENTS UNDER WHICH THE MEMBER WAS APPOINTED, AS
PROVIDED UNDER SUBSECTIONS (A) AND (B) OF THIS SECTION.

Subsections (c) and (d)(2) of this section are new
language that repeats the provisions of present Art.
41, § 8-102(d) and (e) and the second sentence of (c).

Subsection (d)(1) of this section is standard language
added as an inherent and essential corollary to
subsection (c)(4) of this section.

As to subsection (a)(2)(i) of this section, the
addition of § 2-101(d) of this title limits membership
to individuals who are licensed by this State. This
limitation seems consistent with subsection (b)(2) of
this section and reflects the current membership of
the Board.

In subsection (f)(2) of this section, the date
"October 1, 1989", which is the effective date for the
bill that enacted this article, is substituted for the
obsolete date "July 1, 1986". This substitution is
not intended to alter the term of any member of the

Board. See § 7 of Ch. ___, Acts of 1989.

Accordingly, in subsection (f)(1) of this section, the
specific reference to "July 1" is added. The terms of
the members serving on October 1, 1989, end as
follows: (1) 2 in 1990; (2) 2 in 1991; and (3) 3 in
1992.

The only other changes are in style.
