299(a), as that subsection related to the purpose of
this title.

This section is rephrased to indicate clearly that the
legislative policy that former Art. 56, § 299(a) set
forth in the context of a prohibition against
misrepresentations by unlicensed persons applies to
all of this title. See also § 7-502 of this title.

SUBTITLE 2. STATE BOARD OF FORESTERS.

7-201. ESTABLISHED.

THERE IS A STATE BOARD OF FORESTERS IN THE DEPARTMENT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first clause of
the first sentence of former Art. 56, § 301.

It is set forth as a separate section for emphasis.

The phrase "in the Department" is added for clarity
since Art. 41, § 8-102(a) of the Code expressly makes
the Board a unit in the Department.

The former reference to     a "Registration" Board is

deleted to conform to     changes in terminology made

throughout this article.     See the General Revisor's
Note to this article.

7-202. MEMBERSHIP.

(A) COMPOSITION; APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS.

(1)  THE BOARD CONSISTS OF 7 MEMBERS.

(2)  OF THE 7 MEMBERS OF THE BOARD:

(I)  5 SHALL BE LICENSED FORESTERS; AND

(II)  2 SHALL BE CONSUMER MEMBERS.

(3)  THE GOVERNOR SHALL APPOINT THE MEMBERS WITH THE
ADVICE AND CONSENT OF THE SENATE.
