A lawyer who willfully violates any provision of this Part I
Of this subtitle, EXCEPT FOR THE REQUIREMENT THAT A LAWYER
DEPOSIT TRUST MONEYS IN AN ATTORNEY TRUST ACCOUNT FOR CHARITABLE
PURPOSES UNDER § 10-303 OF THIS SUBTITLE, is subject to
disciplinary proceedings as the Maryland Rules provide.

(h) A person who willfully violates any provision of
Subtitle 3, Part I of this title, EXCEPT FOR THE REQUIREMENT THAT
A LAWYER DEPOSIT TRUST MONEYS IN AN ATTORNEY TRUST ACCOUNT FOR
CHARITABLE PURPOSES UNDER § 10-303 OF THIS TITLE, is guilty of a
misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding
$5,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or both.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 1 of
this Act shall take effect July 1, 1989 and remain in effect
until the taking effect of Section 2.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 2 of
this Act shall take effect October 1, 1989, contingent on the
taking effect of Chapter ___ (S.B. 1) of the Act of the General
Assembly of 1989. However, if Chapter ___ does not become
effective, then Section 2 of this Act may not take effect and
shall be null and void without the necessity of further action by
the General Assembly.

FOR the purpose of authorizing the executive director of the
Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund (MAIF), under rules
adopted by the board of trustees to initiate, hear, and
decide producer discipline cases; providing for review of
immediate terminations of producer authority by a member of
the board of trustees; providing that producers once
