representative is automatically extended by the period between
appointment and first publication, but excluding the first 20
days.

(2) IF A KNOWN CREDITOR OF THE DECEDENT, AS DESCRIBED
UNDER § 7-103.1(A)(2) OF THIS ARTICLE DOES NOT RECEIVE THE NOTICE
REQUIRED UNDER § 7-103.1(B)(1) OF THIS ARTICLE WITHIN 4 MONTHS
AFTER THE FIRST APPOINTMENT OF A PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE, AND
DOES NOT HAVE ACTUAL NOTICE OF THE APPOINTMENT OF A PERSONAL

REPRESENTATIVE WITHIN 4 MONTHS AFTER THE APPOINTMENT, THE

CREDITOR SHALL FILE A CLAIM UNDER THIS SUBTITLE WITHIN THE LATER
OF:

(I) 2 MONTHS AFTER RECEIPT OF THE NOTICE, OR

(II) THE TIME PROVIDED UNDER PARAGRAPH (1) OF
THIS SUBSECTION.

2-211.

(e) Every claim filed with the register under the
provisions of § 8-104(c) shall be entered by him in the claims
docket promptly upon
receipt so that the record shall show the
name of the claimant, the nature of the claim, and the amount of
the claim. Every entry relating to an estate OR A DECEDENT shall
be indexed under the name of the decedent.

3-206.

(a) The election by a surviving spouse to take his elective
share shall be made not later than [30 days after the expiration
of the time for filing claims] SEVEN MONTHS AFTER THE DATE OF THE
FIRST APPOINTMENT OF A PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE UNDER A WILL. The
court may extend the time for election, before its expiration,
for a period not to exceed three months at a time, upon notice
given to the personal representative and for good cause shown.

5-503.

(a) As used in this subtitle, "leasehold property" refers
only to a leasehold interest in real property.

(b)  A foreign personal representative shall [publish]:

(1) PUBLISH once a week for three successive weeks a
notice in a newspaper of general circulation in each county in
which real or leasehold property of the decedent was located,
announcing his appointment, his name and address, the name and
address of his Maryland agent for service of process on file with
the register in each county where real or leasehold property was
located, the name of the court which appointed him, a brief
description of all real and leasehold property owned by the
