Article 25 - County Commissioners

13B.

In Calvert County, the fire and rescue commission shall
administer [the retirement] A LENGTH OF SERVICE AWARD program for
volunteer firemen and rescue [squadsmen] SQUAD MEMBERS, as
provided for in [§§ 175-1 through 175-4] TITLE 14 of the Code of
Public Laws of Calvert County.

Article 5 - Calvert County

14-101.

There is a [retirement] LENGTH OF SERVICE AWARD program for
qualified active volunteer members of the Calvert County
volunteer fire companies and volunteer rescue squads. For the
purposes of this subtitle, an active volunteer member is [a
person] AN INDIVIDUAL who accumulated a minimum of [50] 60 points
per calendar year in accordance with the point system set forth
in § 14-104 OF this subtitle.

14-102.

(a)  Any [person] INDIVIDUAL who has served as a member of
any Calvert County volunteer fire company or Calvert County
volunteer rescue squad is eligible to receive the following
benefits, provided that:

(1)  The [person] INDIVIDUAL is certified in
accordance with the provisions of § 14-101 OF this subtitle to
have served as an active volunteer subsequent to [December 31,
1974] JANUARY 1, 1986.

(2)  Any [person] INDIVIDUAL who discontinued active
volunteer service prior to January 1, [1975] 1986 may receive
credit for the service after being certified in accordance with
the provisions of § 14-104(B) OF this subtitle.

(b)  Beginning January 1, [1975] 1986, any [person]
INDIVIDUAL who has reached the age of 60 and who has completed a
minimum of 25 years of certified active volunteer service, with
any Calvert County volunteer fire company or volunteer rescue
squad or ANY combination OF VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY SERVICE AND
VOLUNTEER RESCUE SQUAD SERVICE, shall receive benefits in the
amount of [$100] $275 per month, for life. Payments shall begin
on the first day of the first month following eligibility!. The
program shall be administered by the fire and rescue commission
of Calvert County] and payments shall be made directly to the
volunteer entitled to the benefits.

(c)  An additional payment of [$2] $4 per month shall be
added to the benefits described in subsection (b) of this
